Life cycle energy assessment and carbon dioxide emissions of wall systems for rural houses
نویسندگان
چکیده
Abstract Wall systems have a wide range of embodied energy due to the diversity materials available. This paper analyzes expenditure and carbon dioxide emissions in internal external wall (IEWS) rural residence social interest Cascavel, state Paraná, Brazil. The methodology proposed by NBR ISO 14040 was used perform life-cycle assessment (LCEA) (LCCO2A) these systems. Four scenarios were considered: reinforced concrete structure ceramic blocks system, load-bearing masonry with blocks, steel framing walls molded on site. As result, it found that is possible reduce consumption up 25% opting for In regards CO2 emission, verified difference even greater, being able almost 32% when this same scenario.

15 صفحه اولAccounting for Carbon Dioxide Emissions
It is an adage of accounting to monitor what you can measure but there is concern that some elements can potentially be very important yet very difficult to evaluate. There are now many who care about accounting for CO2 emissions: from scientists interested in the global carbon cycle to environmentalists concerned about global climate change, regulators overseeing international or subnational a...
متن کاملNuclear exit , the US energy mix , and carbon dioxide emissions
If the United States were to adopt a policy to phase out nuclear generation, as has happened recently in other developed countries, what would the environmental and energy-mix implications be? Based on alternative scenarios of nuclear exit that consider the influence of potential policies to limit greenhouse gas emissions, a model of the US and global economy indicates that, under current polic...
متن کاملReducing Carbon Dioxide Emissions
DEBATE ABOUT the increasing concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere, and fears that it will result in an intensification of the Greenhouse Effect and global warming, have spurred consideration of sustainable development. It has been claimed that technology to improve energy efficiency already exists that is cost-effective without consideration of the gains from abatement of carb...
متن کاملExternal wall structure of green rural houses in Daqing, China, based on life cycle and ecological footprint theories
Daqing is situated in one of the severely cold regions of China. The living environment in this region is extremely poor because of the harsh climate and the backward economy. The external wall is an important component of the external envelope of buildings, and it greatly contributes to the indoor thermal environment. By taking the external wall as the research object, this study summarizes th...
